What is Growing Up WILD™?
Growing up WILD™ (GUW) is a national program of the Council for Environmental Education, and is an award winning, multi-disciplinary environmental education activity guide designed for educators who work with students aged 3-7. To review the guide in-depth and learn more about the opportunities for your classroom, visit www.pwGrowingUpWILD.org.
Educator Training Opportunities
As a State Partner for GUW, EEAI hosts lively, hands-on educator trainings which assist the teacher in using the guide to bring environmental education into the classroom immediately upon return. The trainings are instructed by certified Growing Up WILD™ facilitators and include science content-based background, guides and activity alignment to both NAEYC Standards and Head Start Domains.
Register for a training in your region or contact a local facilitator to host a training at your facility today!
GUW also makes a great concurrent session, in-service training or exhibit booth attraction; contact the EEAI GUW Coordinator for options.
The Activity Guide
The Guide is written for early childhood educators of children ages 3-7, and features 27 field-tested, hands-on, nature-based activities.
