Board Member Nomination Process
Become a Part of the EEAI Team!
The Environmental Education Association of Illinois encourages anyone with an interest in furthering the advancement of environmental education to become a part of the Board of Directors or as a Committee Chair/Member.
Nominations are solicited every winter, with the elections held in the spring. To nominate someone you know, or yourself, simply contact a board member or the EEAI President with the person's name and contact information. Becoming a board member does have responsibilities, as well as benefits. Responsibilities include working in partnership with your Executive Board Members and your co-Regional Director(s), attending the quarterly board meetings (held on a Friday or Saturday in February, June, September, and December), submitting quarterly board reports, promoting and offering professional development workshops, programs and support to members of EEAI, and more. In turn, EEAI will provide you with leadership development opportunities, backing for your professional career through letters of recommendation and support, and provide you with a networking group of professionals with the Board of Directors; State Liaison Partnerships; and National and Regional environmental education organizations, programs, and events. |
